Web Design, I’m not done yet!
I was just updating my site list. It’s a page here at fromkarlyn.com, that lists all the websites I own and care for.
Since around 1998 ‘ish, I have been puting together websites for myself, clients, friends and family. In 2000, I decided to be official and go from a free site service to my own dot-com. My first dot-com and now officially my oldest site, is MomsRewards.com.
Fast forward.. Ten years and a dozen domains later.
A few of the websites didn’t last. For whatever reason, I gave them up. However, nine remain, and these are all my babies.
I’m not done yet though.. Why? It’s fun. I really enjoy it… the whole process: from the planning, to the design, to the adding of content. In fact; it’s a little disappointing to me when I eventually finish and call it completed. Though; it is nice to publish it and “let it fly”, so to speak.
I have no plans to create any more sites and am quite busy maintaining the ones I have, and helping friends with theirs. You never know though. The ideas are always swimming around.

If you enjoy playing Pogo games, like I do, then you probably have a mini you decorated and game badges you collect. For me, this is part of the fun of Pogo. I spend way too much time customizing my little mini-me avatar and I get excited about each and every one of those cute badges I earn. Now, I know, that in the big picture of life, these are tiny little minuscule things. However, after I get my work done for the day, it’s fun to sit back and attempt to achieve the next scrabble or trivial pursuit level, or collect that weekly challenge badge. Simple pleasures, right?
